Job Description
The position is field‑based, focusing on executing brand strategy and tactics, managing a territory, building strong customer relationships, and maximizing sales performance while placing patients at the center of efforts. The role operates within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and applicable laws.
Geography covered : Tampa, Clearwater, Saint Petersburg, Palm Harbor, Land O' Lakes, Springhill, Ocala, Gainesville.
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed goals.
- Create pre‑call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post‑call evaluations to improve performance.
- Proactively serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win‑win agreements.
- Execute call plans that achieve metrics, optimize coverage, and maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Build understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, and share intelligence with the team to anticipate changes.
- Differentiated AbbVie’s value proposition and maintain disease‑state experts to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, business, or related field preferred; or equivalent industry experience.At least five (5) years of relevant experience, with at least three (3) years in the pharmaceutical / health / science industry; high school diploma / GED required.In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking.Proven track record of success in selling, solid presentation skills, and adaptability in selling approach.Influence others, demonstrate credibility, build partnerships, and lead by example.Documented success in leadership support roles at district or regional levels; ability to develop sales strategies.Preferred : Proven sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas and experience in physician / account‑based selling, training, or marketing.English language proficiency (verbal and written).Meet all HCIR credentialing requirements, including background checks, drug screens, immunization, fingerprinting, and state / city licenses; maintain credentials.Valid driver’s license; pre‑employment drug screening; safe driving record.Drive personal auto, company vehicle, or material handling equipment as required.Key Stakeholders
External : Specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other brand‑area stakeholders.Internal : In‑field team, sales management (DSM), marketing management, training, customer excellence, and brand plan stakeholders.Additional Information
