General Nature of Work
Maintain records, file deeds, contracts, and agreements for the City. Update code amendments in City records. Maintain all records, ordinances, resolutions, and occupational tax records on the city computer. Provide general zoning, building and related code information. Provide guidance in filling out various zoning applications and ensuring applicants understand the development process. Responsible for assisting the City Manager on land use issues.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Economics, Real Estate, or related field; master's degree in public or business administration or related field; minimum seven (7) years progressively responsible experience in city planning or land development; AICP certification preferred.

Physical Requirements
This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as medium work involving lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. If someone can do medium work, we determine that he or she can also do sedentary and light work.

Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
