Review plumbers work to ensure quality and meet the established standards, techniques, and safety requirements. Provide training programs to ensure that technicians are properly educated about the latest service techniques, equipment, general working conditions, and safety procedures. Monitor and evaluate budgets, targets, and objectives to ensure company profitability. Evaluate all estimates and change orders to maintain consistent margins. Specifies and ensures that the parts needed are ordered promptly to guarantee meeting deadlines. Communications with vendors and suppliers on warranty problems, product recall reports, and operating issues. Collaborate on the company and departmental goals and objectives with other managers. 5-7 years of related experience in managing plumbing division. High School diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent. Education from college, trade school, or military preferred. Valid driver's license. Reliable, detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of handling several tasks. Recognize a thorough understanding of the plumbing industry. The ability to know local codes and to use available resources to find solutions. Efficient management skills to improve the productivity of teams and work standards. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice. OSHA 30
