We are seeking a Snow School Instructor to join our team. If you can provide guests with an exceptional experience and enjoy working in a vibrant resort environment, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :
- Instruct and coach guests of all ages and abilities in skiing or snowboarding within your certification level, in group or individual lessons.
- Ensure a safe learning environment for all lessons.
- Assess students' abilities and assign them to appropriate groups.
- Set up and take down lesson equipment, manage crowd control, and signage.
- Assist the Ski School Supervisor with lesson planning.
- Teach and adhere to the Alpine Responsibility Code.
- Perform general on-hill tasks, including maintaining learning areas, terrain parks, and safe walkways.
- Assist ski patrol with various tasks as needed.
Additional duties :
Assist guests with products and services via in-person, phone, and email communication.Provide accurate information about Alpine Services and Manning Park Resort.Prepare rental equipment, lesson bookings, and lift tickets; process payments.Distribute pre-purchased rentals and tickets, and register Snow School participants.Adjust and tune rental equipment to customer needs.Maintain and repair guest equipment as required.Keep the environment safe and clean, including sanitation and snow removal around the building.Follow policies to resolve guest issues.Support marketing and sales efforts for resort products.Perform other tasks as assigned.Job Requirements / Qualifications :
Minimum Level 1 Canadian Ski or Snowboard Instructor Certification or equivalent; dual certification is an asset.Strong customer service skills.Availability to work weekends and holidays.Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.Approachable, dependable, and a team player.Good physical condition and manual labor capability.Knowledge of ski hill operations and terrain parks is an asset.Intermediate skiing / snowboarding skills.Knowledge of the Alpine Responsibility Code.First aid certification is preferred.Own equipment required.Benefits :
