Seeking a part-time Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an outpatient substance abuse clinic in Ludlow, MA. Location : Ludlow, MA 01056 – New England town with a welcoming community, access to parks, and local amenities

Setting : Outpatient methadone clinic

Employment Type : Locum tenens (contract healthcare position)

Schedule : 2 shifts per week (part-time); clinic open Monday–Saturday

Hours per Week : Approximately 16 hours

Shift Duration : Flexible start times (between 5 : 00am and 7 : 30am)

Patient Population : Adults 18+, including older adults

Start Date : September 22, 2025

Assignment Duration : 13-week contract

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1630–$1930

Qualifications – Nurse Practitioner & Physician Assistant Jobs

Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Massachusetts

DEA certification required

Minimum 1 year of experience in methadone management or opioid treatment (independent practice with methadone protocols)

Experience with EMR systems (Smart EMR preferred)

Ability to work independently; collaborating physician available for consultation

Responsibilities – Outpatient Substance Abuse Clinic

Conduct patient intakes, including Health & Physicals (H&P)

Initiate methadone inductions and manage dose adjustments for new and established patients

Deliver ongoing outpatient care for adults with substance use disorders

Coordinate care and communicate with collaborating physician as needed

Document patient encounters and treatment plans in EMR system

Support transfers from other methadone clinics to ensure continuity of care
