This role is all about helping children (ages 3-5) grow socially, emotionally, and academically so they are ready to thrive in kindergarten. - What You'll Do
- Create engaging lesson plans and hands-on activities using storytelling, music, play, and interactive media.
- Support children in building confidence, social skills, and self-regulation.
- Foster positive peer interactions and help children learn problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Guide children in exploring creativity through art, music, and practical life skills.
- Organize daily routines including snacks, rest time, and transitions.
- Track and document developmental progress and share updates with families.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to support each child's growth.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to maintain a supportive, fun, and safe classroom environment.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and health-compliant classroom space.
- What You Bring
- Previous experience as a Preschool Teacher or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Understanding of safety, sanitation, and licensing standards.
- Strong communication, classroom management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to guide children through challenges with calmness and patience.
- A collaborative mindset and a positive, reliable attitude.
- Meet the State of California qualifications for a Preschool Teacher (ECE units or equivalent).
