Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a Gastroenterologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals / Kings County. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

The Gastroenterologist will provide inpatient or outpatient Gastrointestinal care, depending on the day of the week. A majority of the time, the gastroenterologist will supervise fellows in evaluating and examining patients, developing treatment plans, and ensuing appropriate follow-up care.
Supervise or perform endoscopic procedures, such as colonoscopies and endoscopies, in a state-of-the-art endoscopy suite with experienced staff.
Provide weekend and evening call coverage supervising GI fellows on a 1-in-8 call schedule.
Supervise and mentor medical students and medicine residents assigned to the gastroenterology and hepatology service.
Accept an Academic Appointment at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Current licensed NY State registration (or the ability to obtain one)
Board Certified / Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional / per diem hours.

Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional / per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
