General Purpose
Manage multi-state Workers Compensation (WC) claims by maintaining efficiencies in the processing, tracking, reporting, sharing, and updating of workers compensation information within the WC claims database and with insurance carriers / TPA throughout the entire process. Provide Superior Customer Service in all aspects of the job.
Essential Functions
Heavy data entry of work-related claims and / or conservative treatment information into WC application and conservative database.
- Maintain the flow of information regarding claims to respective insurance carriers or TPA, as well as, working with adjusters for the transfer of information as directed by the Director of Safety & Risk.
- Following up and obtaining accident investigation information and witness statements to establish the validity of claims.
- Keep all claims current regardless of whether it's work-related or not.
- Report catastrophic or serious injuries to the Director of Risk Management immediately.
- Ensure claims are closed on time.
- Complete other assignments as assigned by the supervisor in an accurate and timely manner.
Desired Skills & Experience
High school diploma or GEDExperience in the medical field, Workers' Compensation Adjuster, or employer-side experience in claims management preferred.Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize responsibilities.Able to effectively communicate with all levels of company personnel and with outside contacts.Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of multi-state compensation and OSHA requirements.What Elwood Staffing can offer you!
