Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-1 students in the Prospect Heights, IL area. This contract position runs for the current school year with option to renew for the following school year.

Key Qualifications :

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education
• Active LBS 1 required

Location :

Responsibilities :

Lead classroom activities based on individual student needs

Deliver direct instruction curriculum in individualized and small group settings

Manage schedules of all students in the classroom for inclusion time in their general education classroom

Implement behavior intervention plans and manage classroom behaviors for effective classroom organization and participation

Collaborate with related service providers to implement accommodations, modifications, and goal work throughout the week

Manage classroom Educational Support Professional schedules and direct them in their work with the students
