The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division in Helena.

This position is the technical expert in purchasing and accounts payable functions for the Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Bureau. This position is responsible for purchasing supplies goods and services by interpreting and implementing state purchasing rules regulation policy and procedure as well as ensuring the quality efficiency and compliance of accounting procedures and budgets. The position analyzes researches reconciles evaluates and reviews and enters payment for all vendor-related invoices. These duties are accomplished by using software systems such as PERQS AWACS SABHRS Amazon eMACS and excel worksheets.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

Knowledge of principles practices and state regulations used in the Montana Procurement System and public purchasing concepts and practices.

Ability to make professional judgements through research and data analysis using analytical and quantitative techniques and the procurement process.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.

Meet minimum qualifications :

Two years of job-related college or vocational training.

Two years of job-related experience.

Equivalent combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
