Coders Connect are partnering with a leading global enterprise headquartered in Downtown Los Angeles. With a strong focus on technology and digital transformation, this organization is investing heavily in modernizing its engineering and automation practices to support mission-critical platforms used worldwide.

They're hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer to be the first dedicated automation hire. This is a high-impact role where you'll establish frameworks, mentor manual testers, and drive automation strategy across enterprise-scale systems. The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week onsite in Downtown Los Angeles.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks (with a strong focus on Python and Playwright).
  • Drive the automation strategy end-to-end, ensuring scalable and reliable test coverage.
  • Mentor and support manual testers transitioning into automation.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps to embed quality in every stage of delivery.
  • Own automation initiatives across web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on QA automation experience (not manual)
  • Strong programming skills with Python (must-have)
  • Experience with Playwright (preferred), or Selenium / Cypress if very strong in other areas
  • Background in testing web applications, APIs, and enterprise-scale systems
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and TestRail (nice-to-have)
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to operate independently as the first automation hire
  • Bonus : experience testing AI / ML systems
