Job Description
GALT Aerospace is looking for a full-time, salaried Systems Engineer Integration and Test (SEIT) to join our team. In this position, you will play a crucial role supporting the integration and test of networked communication systems.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the following :
Integrating and testing RF and network devicesUpdate existing and building new mission plans for tactical radiosTest card executionDevelop and maintain technical documentation which includes test plans and proceduresDevelop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systemsDevelop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documentationConduct systems and sub-systems testingReview and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documentsInstall and configure Windows / Linux serversSet up and maintain DNS / Exchange / Active DirectoryMaintain virtual environmentsDeploy, monitor, and maintain network gear to include switches, servers, firewalls, etc. and troubleshoot network related problemsCapture and deploy system imagesRequired Skills, Experience, and Education
Working knowledge on network security devices (e.g. firewall, NGFW, IPS, IDS)Working knowledge on event management systems (e.g. ISE, Splunk, SolarWinds)Tactical Data Link familiarity (e.g. CDL, TTNT, L-16, SADL, etc.)Live field testing, experience with military communication systems highly desired4+ years of experience with testing, networking, or other IT related fieldsExperience with Department of Defense (DoD) computer and radio systemsWorking knowledge of routing, switching, protocols, VLANs, IP subnetting, LAN, WAN, etcMust possess high proficiency in Linux and WindowsMust have a high-level understanding of automation and implementationUS Citizenship required with a minimum of an active Interim Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearancePreferred Skills, Experience and Education
Automation, scripting, or other development experience in either Python or JavaScriptKnowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments is highly desiredExperience developing scripts in ansible is desiredDemonstrate knowledge in using various testing methodologies Agile and Scrum and logging results using solutions such as JIRA and or ConfluenceTeam player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic environmentPhysical Requirements
Must be able to carry 50 poundsMust be able to sit or stand for 8 hours at a timeClimb / descend, work atop, and traverse certain machineryAt GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $109,000-$145,000, and a specific candidate's base pay will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
