The Role

As a Technical Architect you will be responsible for the tech architecture of our platform and its product lines. You will mentor a team of high performing individual contributors and own high quality delivery of product development, driving innovation and engineering excellence across your teams. In this role, you will lead and mentor a cross-functional team of Principal Engineers, Software Engineers, and Software Engineers in Test, build a culture of best practices, and ensure software and processes are measurable in quality and deliver the best for our customers. You will be passionate about building scalable architectures, drive engineering excellence, and influence a high-level tech strategy with leadership while taking a hands-on approach to implementing org-wide strategy. Our product suite covers the lifecycle of e-commerce optimization including CommerceIQ Sales, Advertising, Digital Shelf Optimization (DSO) and other upcoming products. This role will lead the architecture of our product suite and help drive ROI for consumer brands online.

Location / Travel

This is an onsite role based out of our Mountain View, CA headquarters. You will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week if hired.

What You\'ll Do

• Hands-on technical leader accountable for a large portion of organization architecture, including ownership of the design and quality of software built by at least 3 development teams.
• Segment an architecture to be developed by different teams.
• Lead design reviews, build consensus, align teams toward coherent architectural strategies, and drive clarity.
• Set the technical strategy and standard for engineering excellence within your organization.
• Mentor and guide the engineering team on engineering excellence best practices and own architecting services for scale.
• Drive innovation within the team to deliver engineering-driven products that differentiate CommerceIQ in the market.
• Work on high impact, critical, or strategically important initiatives.
• Mitigate risks caused by complexity; deconstruct problems and systems into straightforward solutions; handle escalations.
• Determine where resources are best applied to accomplish goals and remove bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to create a forward-looking tech strategy and influence product and business strategy.
• Own and deliver the organizational tech strategy as per plan.

What You\'ll Bring

The typical base pay range for this role in Mountain View, CA is USD : $242,000 - $273,000 / per year.

This base pay range may include several career levels at CommerceIQ and will be narrowed based on a number of factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
