Travel RN - Pediatrics

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a mixed adult and pediatric unit, requiring AZ or compact RN licensure and strong skills in both populations.

Job Details

• Work in an acute care hospital setting on a mixed adult and pediatric (MST / PEDIATRICS) unit with 10 beds,
• Patient population includes adults and pediatrics with surgical, medical, and telemetry needs,
• Common diagnoses include respiratory illnesses, seizures, dehydration, post-operative, MRSA, C-diff, pneumonia, COPD, and COVID,
• Nurse-to-patient ratios : Pediatrics 1 : 3-4, MST 1 : 5,
• 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required,
• Float to adult MST unit and cross-train to birthing unit for mom-baby couplets as needed,
• If low census, participation in standby rotation is required,
• Uses Cerner EMR system,
• RNs are required to read their own telemetry strips for adult MST patients,
• Navy scrubs are required,
