Position Title : C ategory & Marketing Manager – Viennoiserie

Position Overview

Bridor is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial-minded Category & Marketing Manager to drive the growth of our viennoiserie business in the U.S. market. This hybrid role is centered on category leadership, with a focus on analyzing market trends, identifying white space opportunities, and shaping the product portfolio to meet consumer needs and business goals.

As a key player in Bridor’s commercial strategy, you’ll lead the charge in understanding the competitive landscape, optimizing product assortment, guiding innovation, and tracking category performance to drive sustainable growth. You’ll also support the sales team with high-impact tools and campaigns that bring our product strategy to life in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Category Management – Viennoiserie

  • Analyze category performance, including sales, profitability, and market share
  • Monitor consumer trends and competitor activity to identify threats and growth opportunities
  • Select products to be referenced based on their sales potential and profitability
  • Guide portfolio strategy by identifying product gaps and recommending innovation opportunities
  • Define product assortment and pricing strategies aligned with Bridor’s market goals
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and execute winning category plans
  • Support in-store performance through product presentation and merchandising recommendations
  • Track KPIs and prepare reports to evaluate the impact of category initiatives and present key insights to leadership

Marketing Execution

  • Develop high-impact marketing tools including sales decks, POS materials, sell sheets, and launch kits
  • Serve as the marketing lead during customer meetings and trade events, supporting the U.S. sales team
  • Plan and execute product launch campaigns in close collaboration with sales, innovation, and design teams
  • Strengthen Bridor’s brand presence in the U.S. by adapting messaging to local customer and channel needs
  • Partner with sales to define key value propositions and tailor marketing tools to specific customer segments
  • Ensure alignment between marketing messaging and the broader category strategy
  • Collaboration & Culture Fit

  • Reports to the Marketing Director – North America, based in Bridor’s Canadian HQ
  • Works closely with a U.S.-based sales team as well as cross-functional partners in R&D, Innovation, Supply Chain, and external agencies

  • This role requires autonomy, agility, and entrepreneurial spirit—you’ll have space to lead and accountability to deliver
  • Travel Expectations

  • Travel approximately 30–40% of the time
  • Includes customer visits, trade shows, and trend events across the U.S.
  • Visits to the Canadian HQ approximately every 2–3 months for strategic planning and team alignment
  • Key Skills

  • Knowledge of the Bakery Sector : Understanding of category-specific dynamics, product families (e.g., viennoiserie), and evolving consumer trends
  • Analysis & Strategy : Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable category strategies
  • Commercial & Marketing : Solid understanding of sales, marketing, and product management fundamentals
  • Communication & Interpersonal : Excellent communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Project Management : Proven ability to manage projects, coordinate multiple workstreams, and deliver on deadlines
  • Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, trade marketing, or category management—preferably in the food industry
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; graphic tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) is a plus
  • Familiarity with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, SPINS) is a plus
  • Bilingual (English / French) is a strong asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Experience in commerce, sales, or product management is considered an asset
