Job Summary

The Safety Technician will support the companys safety program by assisting with inspections, training, documentation, and compliance monitoring on civil construction projects. This role works closely with the Safety Managers, Project Manager, and field crews to help maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting job site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and verify compliance with safety standards.
• Support accident / incident investigations by gathering information, preparing reports, and assisting with root-cause analysis.
• Help deliver and track safety training sessions, including new hire orientations and toolbox talks.
• Maintain accurate safety records, logs, and reports, including inspection checklists, training attendance, and incident documentation.
• Monitor the availability and proper use of PPE and safety equipment on job sites.
• Provide support in implementing corrective actions and follow-up from audits, inspections, or incidents.
• Stay current on OSHA standards and industry best practices and communicate updates to the safety team and field crews.
• Assist in promoting a strong safety culture through daily field engagement and visible presence on job sites.
