As Turnaround Cost Controls Advisor III , you will play a key role in shaping project outcomes, collaborating with diverse professionals, and ensuring financial discipline throughout every project phase. What you'll do :
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust cost control systems to support large-scale turnaround projects
- Prepare and analyze project cost estimates, forecasts, and reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with budgets and schedules
- Lead cost analysis and advise project leaders on cost trends and variances, identifying opportunities for cost optimization
- Oversee project-based invoicing, support labor projections, and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate cost risk mitigation, contingency planning, and the migration of conceptual estimates to definitive project controls
- Manage cost data input, reporting, and documentation using tools like SAP, Primavera, and IPS to track progress and support turnaround milestones
- Prepare and present clear cost reports, support contracting and compensation strategies, and lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality standards
- Foster continuous improvement, share insights with stakeholders, and contribute to a culture of accountability and excellence

The Borger Refinery is located in Borger, Texas, in the Texas Panhandle, approximately 50 miles north of Amarillo, Texas. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes primarily medium sour crude oil produced locally, and heavy sour crude oil produced in Canada, all of which are delivered by pipeline. Borger produces a high percentage of transportation fuels, as well as petroleum coke, NGLs and solvents. Refined products are distributed to customers via pipelines from the refinery to West Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and the Midcontinent region.
