Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Inspector to join our team in Southeast Indiana, along the Louisville and Cincinnati corridor. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a renowned engineering and consulting firm with a strong presence in civil engineering, infrastructure design, and sustainable development. The role involves overseeing construction contractors to ensure adherence to design standards and specifications across local, state, and federal levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect the work of construction contractors to ensure design standards and construction specifications are met.

• Manage the entire construction process from pre-construction meetings to project closeout, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are maintained.

• Maintain daily and weekly logs of job activities.

• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with engineers, materials testing labs, construction general contractors, and subcontractors.

• Communicate and coordinate with construction contractors' staff daily.

• Complete daily reports and perform field measurements.

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of INDOT construction inspection experience.

• INDOT Certified Technician (must possess all 6 INDOT certifications).

• Active SiteManager account or ability to activate within the first 30 days of employment.

• Willingness to travel when needed.

• Proficiency in using inspection equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to work in inclement weather.

• Experience in roadway construction inspection.

Work Environment

The Construction Inspector will work outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing either their truck or a field office trailer. The position involves visual inspection and requires the ability to adapt to changing conditions. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Company vehicle, medical/dental/vision insurance options, 401K programs, PTO and Holiday pay, will not lay off during the winter time

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Indianapolis,IN.
