Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Metering Welder- 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2 : 30pm - 11 : 00pm. The rate for this position is $21.94 / hour + $0.60 / hour shift differential per hour.

Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you'll do : As a Welder you will be responsible for welding assemblies and components using welding equipment.
You will interpret drawings and shop orders to perform welding operations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards. Set up, understand and proficiently operate all welding equipment. Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
ID and tag product with shop orders. Retrieve / enter data into system.
Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently. Weld components based on print specifications.
Other duties as assigned. ## Qualifications : Basic (Required) Qualifications : High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution A minimum of one year of weld operations, to include MIG, TIG of stainless steel and / or aluminum. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications : Spot-welding experience Basic computer skills. Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills. Able to read, interpret blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
Position Criteria :
Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
Ability to follow directions, work independently and close attention to detail. Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
Requires PPE to include safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, ear protection, cut resistant sleeves, and any other PPE required by the position.
