Acute Care-General Surgery

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a board‐eligible / board‐certified Acute Care Surgeon to join our team of highly trained, multi‐specialty surgeons. The Memorial Division of General Surgery offers comprehensive surgical care to a diverse patient population. The position is available at Memorial Regional Hospital and Memorial Hospital West, both part of Memorial Healthcare System's network of leading facilities in South Florida.

The ideal candidate will have completed training in an ACGME‐accredited program. Candidates with experience in minimally invasive / laparoscopic surgery are strongly encouraged to apply. The selected surgeon will join the acute care surgical team, providing care for acute care patients within our hospitals. Responsibilities include sharing on‐call duties with other acute care surgeons and the general surgery team on a rotating basis, managing ER and hospital consults, and performing surgical procedures for these patients.

This is a full‐time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
