W.L. Roenigk Inc. Is looking for hard-working, reliable and experienced mechanics for the main office of our company that serves multiple locations across the Pittsburgh region. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate well, as you will need to speak with garage managers, dispatchers and drivers about problems with vehicles, concerns and answer questions. This candidate should also be able to remain calm under pressure at a minute's notice, as the student transportation industry is constantly changing. At W.L. Roenigk Inc. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Diagnose, remove and assemble body and chassis components from any vehicle; clean, inspect, and assemble new or original parts; reinstall components and make necessary adjustments.
- Diagnose potential vehicle malfunctions to determine needed repairs and / or replacement.
- Inspect, clean, adjust, tighten and / or repair minor items such as lights, bulbs, lenses, reflectors, etc.
- Repair items such as kingpins, springs, shocks, leaf springs and spring pins.
- Perform tune-ups and oil changes.
- Replace and repair brakes, steering repairs, electrical repairs, air conditioning and heat repairs.
- Service all company vehicles for any necessary maintenance.
- Perform minor repairs as requested on daily vehicle inspection reports in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns, including emergency breakdowns and service, snow removal, general property maintenance, etc.
- Assist with substituting on routes as a driver or aide for local school districts.
Requirements :
Must have or be willing to get a Class 7 PA Inspection license.Must be able to provide your own tools, including wrenches up to 1 inch. Major tools including scanning tools are provided.Must have or be willing to obtain a Class B Commercial Drivers License with the proper endorsements included and restrictions lifted to operate a school bus.Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment and random drug testing while employed.Must have satisfactory driving history based off our review of state motor vehicle record.Successfully passed pre-employment background check, including criminal history and child abuse history, as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.Undergo pre-employment FBI fingerprint history check.Job Type : Full-time
