Job Summary
The Catering Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing private events, ensuring a flawless and memorable experience for every guest. Acting as the liaison between clients, the culinary team, and operations , the Catering Coordinator oversees every detail-from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and proficiency in Delphi . The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, a strong understanding of event logistics, and the ability to balance client relationships with operational execution.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between clients, culinary teams, and event operations.
Consult with clients to understand their vision, preferences, budget, and any dietary restrictions.
Plan menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef to ensure every event reflects the client's goals and theme.
Coordinate logistics with vendors such as florists, rental companies, and entertainment providers.
Communicate with the Banquet Manager to organize event staffing and ensure smooth execution.
Oversee event setup, service, and breakdown , ensuring all details are executed to standard.
Manage billing, contracts, and payments , ensuring all deposits and balances are collected before the event.
Provide event diagrams and ensure all details are communicated clearly to internal teams.
Collect feedback and handle post-event follow-up to ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in catering, event coordination, or hospitality management.
Proficiency in Delphi is required.
Knowledge of catering operations, event planning, and banquet service standards.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Professional demeanor and ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, Outlook, POS systems).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
Lift and carry up to 25–30 lbs as needed.
