Job descriptionProvide leadership to hub associates Supervise hub associates and / or temp workers Manage staffing schedules of associates and / or temp workers based on volume projections to help meet specific metric related goals Organize stocks and maintain inventory Inspect products for defects and damages Examine incoming freight Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately Oversee the sort process to ensure it is done in an efficient manner Ensure team abides by all company safety and hygiene regulations Collaborate with day shift transportation team Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures Keep warehouse clean and organized daily To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. The attributes listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required : Proficiency in inventory software, database, and systems Good organizational and time management skills Current forklift license or ability to obtain one High school degree or higher required Work is performed primarily in a warehouse environment with frequent interruptions from team members and independent contractors, and regular high noise level. Must be able to frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds at a time Must be able to adapt and work in warm and cold temperature environment Must be able to maneuver and access all areas of the warehouse Must be able to frequently stand, walk, and reach with arms The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor I is responsible for leading hub associates and / or temp workers in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, sorting, and scanning inbound freight. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring procedures and operations increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
