Job Description

Job Details :

This position is responsible for, but not limited to :

Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Provide troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical malfunction.

Prepare written documentation of actions taken to correct equipment problems.

Responds to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations.

Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.

Complete appropriate paperwork and reports

Must comply with lockout / tagout, confined space, and all other safety programs.

Must be able to perform mechanical and basic electrical trouble shooting and repairs.

Able to perform diagnosis and repairs without supervision.

Capable of starting all equipment before production startup and shutdown without supervision

Ability to assist with other mechanics as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Work in temperature that will vary with outside ambient temperatures and humidity.  It can be dusty, warm, cold and / or humid.

The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.

Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.

Requirements :

Industrial Maintenance experience listed / or 1 years of college at a technical college.
