Finance Position
This position is responsible for :
Maintaining the general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions providing financial reporting and transactional accounting service to the Divisional Headquarters. Applies principles of accounting to analyze accounts receivable, accounts payable, income and expense transactions for entry into the Divisional Headquarters general ledger. Accomplishes tasks with particular emphasis on internal and external customer service and seeks to add value for the organization's management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Codes, classifies, and batches vendor invoices for data entry into the GL Accounting System in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the TSA Uniform Standards of Accounting and Financial Reporting.
- Performs a variety of accounting support work including journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, reviewing requisitions, and filing; provides general information regarding the department operations and / or services; processes incoming and outgoing mail; handles Petty Cash.
- Reconciles Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Historical Aged Trial Balance reports against open invoices from external and intercompany vendors, and against corresponding Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable accounts in the General Ledger.
- Processes and reviews all invoices and recognition of revenue in the General Ledger, ensuring that timing and cutoff's are properly observed. Monitor accounts receivable to ensure all services have been accounted for and billed.
- Provides and reconciles monthly historical aged trial balance reports for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable against the General Ledger to the Accounting Supervisor and the Accounting Manager.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.Employee Benefits :

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting AND Two years of experience with general ledger accounting, depreciation, reconciliation and advanced spreadsheet / database production; knowledge of Sage-Intacct preferred OR Six years of equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications :
Valid State Driver's License.
