They’re looking for a motivated Maintenance Project Engineer to support a large-scale change initiative aimed at moving from reactive to proactive maintenance practices. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on plant maintenance experience, especially within heavy industries, who’s ready to step into a broader improvement and coaching role. You’ll be part of a high-impact task force that works directly with plant teams to implement systems, train staff, and embed lasting change. Key Responsibilities : Act as a boots-on-the-ground advocate for safety-first operations. Help develop and execute detailed schedules for system rollouts and maintenance improvements. Support plant teams in sticking to implementation timelines and standards. Build strong communication channels with all stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. Identify and flag potential risks or delays early, working with leadership to resolve issues fast. Coach supervisors and managers on best practices and maintenance standards. Contribute to the creation of new internal documentation for maintenance and production procedures. Maintain energy and commitment across the team during the full implementation period. Promote a proactive, safety-conscious culture across every level of operations. What You’ll Bring : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on maintenance or related fields. 1–3 years of experience in plant maintenance within a heavy industrial setting. Exposure to or training in Lean Manufacturing principles is a big plus. Familiarity with CMMS platforms such as Maximo or SAP PM. Solid command of Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, coaching-focused approach. Analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement. Comfortable working in hands-on environments and with frontline operations teams. Travel flexibility (approx. 20%). Must meet site-specific PPE requirements, including respirator protocols.
