Assistant Vice President, HR Business Partner

At LPL Financial, we empower professionals to shape their success while helping clients pursue their financial goals with confidence. This role will work with our Wealth Management and Business Strategy & Innovation teams and will play an instrumental role in creating and implementing a talent strategy that aligns with business priorities. This role provides consultation and coaching to leaders on performance management, talent management, engagement strategies, and compensation issues in partnership with other teams within the Human Capital organization. Additionally, this role will partner closely with our HR Centers of Excellence to ensure effective and thoughtful execution of key HR initiatives to our employees.

Responsibilities :

  • Partner with business leaders in the development and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and practices in support of firm and business unit objectives, inclusive of performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, compensation, talent management, change management, employee engagement, retention, professional development, culture, and the employee experience
  • Serve as a thought partner and advisor to leaders and employees throughout the organization with the ability to connect, coach and counsel at all levels of the organization
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams and assignments as necessary, partnering with HR COEs to create a holistic, intentional and integrated approach to the employee experience.
  • Act as the voice of the internal client to facilitate enhancements to LPL's HR policies, benefits, initiatives, processes, etc.
  • Utilize HR analytics to assess organizational health, incorporating data into talent strategy.
  • Drive organizational strategy and processes through effective organizational design, utilize change management framework to effectively support employees through the change process.
  • Serve as a culture champion, modeling and influencing our LPL values and promoting an environment where we win together.
  • Drive the employee engagement survey process and the development of action plans.

Requirements :

  • 5+ year's professional level experience as a HR Business Partner, preferably in the Financial Services industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology or related field. PHR / SHR preferred.
  • Core Competencies :

  • High emotional intelligence, able to understand others and manage relationships effectively
  • Strong ability to negotiate and offer alternative viewpoints in a productive manner
  • Knowledge of talent management practices, compensation and organizational design
  • Preferences :

  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Strong bias for action, takes ownership and drives initiatives to completion.
  • Must be extremely organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times when dealing with employee matters.
  • Successful candidates will possess superior consultative and influencing skills, superior verbal / written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and project management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work on multiple priorities, work independently and as a team in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
  • Pay Range : $108,200-$180,300 / year Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
