The New York Harbor VA Medical Center is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the New York Healthcare System (NYHHS) New York / Manhattan campus. Responsibilities include restorative dentistry and prosthodontics, maxillofacial prosthetics, periodontics, endodontics, radiography, oral surgery, and more. Work schedule is Monday-Friday; 8am-4 : 30pm. Pay is competitive with regular salary increases. Benefits include paid time off, parental leave, child care subsidy, retirement, and insurance. Requirements include U.S. citizenship, proficiency in written and spoken English, and passing a pre-employment physical evaluation. Certification in basic life support methods and Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification is highly desirable. The full performance level of this vacancy is at the GS-6 level.
