Pacific Animal Hospital is looking for a full time Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

About You

As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements :

Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, LVT, RVT) preferred, not required

Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately

Familiarity with veterinary software and medical terminology

Role Responsibilities :

Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments

Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and administer medications

Collect and process lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)

Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical prep and recovery

Educate pet owners on preventative care and treatment plans

Maintain accurate patient records and follow up with clients

Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience-$21-26 / hr. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
