About the role

Within the Sample Preparation Department, the Sample Preparation Technician (P2) will work with client samples and prepare them for analysis in our labs.

Shift : Day / Swing Shift

Responsibilities

  • Perform ringing, sieving (including International Soils), crushing, and splitting under supervision.
  • Load and unload drying ovens under supervision.
  • Maintain production logs.
  • Ensure basic lab cleanliness through general cleaning duties.
  • Assist with layout tasks as needed.
  • Inspect equipment and report adjustments to senior staff.
  • Follow safety regulations and ALS health and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About you

  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic alpha / numeric comprehension.
  • Basic English communication skills (written and verbal).

    • Required Qualifications

  • Ability to sit and / or stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work in hot and dusty environments.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with assistance for heavier lifts.
  • Ability to perform sedentary office tasks.
  • Must be clean-shaven to wear protective equipment.
