Your Role in Our Success
As a Commercial Loan Officer, you will play a key role in fueling the growth of CBS and our partner credit unions by originating and managing new commercial lending opportunities. You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with clients and referral sources, guiding deals from early analysis through to closing, and ensuring a seamless borrower experience throughout the commercial lending lifecycle.
Here’s how you will make an impact :
- You originate and evaluate new commercial loan opportunities
- You perform preliminary credit analysis to assess deal viability before advancing to underwriting.
- You collaborate with our Business Development Administration team to collect and submit complete loan documentation packages.
- You partner with underwriters and loan closers to ensure deals move efficiently through the pipeline.
- You maintain ongoing communication with credit union partners and internal stakeholders to support a smooth handoff from origination to closing.
- You proactively build referral relationships with CU clients, CPAs, CRE brokers, attorneys, and other professionals aligned with CBS’s and our credit union partners’ strategic priorities.
- You represent CBS at networking events, industry conferences, and local business forums to generate new leads.
- You educate borrowers and partners on the full scope of CBS offerings to strengthen and expand relationships.
- You work closely with our marketing team to develop and implement strategic go-to-market plans tailored to your assigned region.
- You stay informed of market trends, industry shifts, and regulatory updates to support sound lending decisions.
Requirements :
What You Bring to the Table
You bring 5+ years of experience in commercial lending.You bring 4-year college degree.Commercial real estate experience preferred.You work well independently and remotely with minimal supervision.You have an understanding of financial analysis and credit evaluation.You are a skilled relationship-builder with strong interpersonal and communication skills.You are known for your responsiveness, customer service orientation, and professionalism.You are organized and adept at managing multiple deals and deadlines.You have the ability to negotiate and problem-solve effectively.You are comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems to manage contacts, track activity, and document interactions.You take initiative, adapt easily to change, and deliver results aligned with strategic goals.The Perks of Being with Us

Compensation : Base compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 - $105,000.
