GNR Public Health is seeking a detail oriented and reliable Payroll Tech 1 that will perform a variety of Payroll / Human Resources duties.

This position is open to internal GNR employees ONLY. This position will be filled as a Payroll Tech 1 (Paygrade G). The posted salary is $42,703.44. This position will close on Friday November 7th at 5pm.

Description Of Duties

Job Summary :

GNR Public Health is seeking a detail oriented and reliable Payroll Tech 1 that will perform a variety of Payroll / Human Resources duties.

These include :

• Serving as the backup to the Payroll Manager to perform payroll processing and associated functions
• Utilizing Mitchell & McCormick software to consistently and accurately process payroll changes
• Collecting, reviewing & processing timesheets of hourly employees
• Coordinating employee leave administration on a semi-monthly basis
• Serving as point of contact in Human Resources for Family Medical Leave (FMLA) & Workers Compensation
• Providing both internal and external customer service as needed
• Ensuring all records are in compliance per applicable laws / policy & helping to prepare for audits as needed
• Providing administrative support to the Payroll Manager

This role requires excellent attention to detail, a great degree of confidentiality & superior customer service. This position helps to contribute to the overall efficient operations of the agency's payroll function and helps to support the staff of GNR Public Health.

Qualifications

Minimum : High school diploma / GED and one (1) year of job-related experience.

Preferred : 5 or more years of working in Public Health and / or State of Georgia Government. 5 or more years of experience working with Mitchell & McCormick software.
