Our Surgical Specialties Med Surg unit, located on the 4 South wing, specializes in various areas including urology, GI, vascular surgeries, wound care, pediatrics, orthopedics, and trauma. This 19-bed unit is the perfect setting for nurses eager to expand their skillset and encounter diverse and unique cases.

We are on the lookout for dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care and contributing to a supportive and dynamic work environment. 1 year of med-surg experience is preferred!

Schedule : Work Saturdays and Sundays from 7 AM to 7 PM. A $15.00 weekend differential will be added to your base rate!

As an RN in this role, you will :

• Implement medical-surgical nursing standards to enhance patient care and quality of life.
• Build effective relationships with patients and families, advocating for their unique care needs.
• Utilize the nursing process for comprehensive care planning and assessment.
• Integrate holistic management strategies considering the patient's diverse dimensions of health.
• Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure cohesive and effective care.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Foster a positive work environment by mentoring peers and students.
• Apply evidence-based practices tailored to the specific needs of patients.
• Perform necessary duties while maintaining a constant state of alertness.
• Conduct point-of-care testing as required by protocol.
