We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a permanent position that promises a challenging and rewarding career path. Responsibilities :
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for :
1. Performing a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures with a high level of accuracy and quality.
2. Ensuring the safety of patients by adhering to radiation safety measures under the guidelines of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
3. Preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients while monitoring their conditions and reactions.
4. Operating and maintaining all nuclear medicine equipment, including performing quality control tests to ensure accurate results.
5. Collaborating with the nuclear medicine team and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
6. Interpreting data and providing comprehensive written reports for physicians.
7. Participating in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in nuclear medicine.
8. Complying with all hospital policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications :
The ideal candidate for this position should have :
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
2. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (CNMT) is required.
3. A thorough understanding of nuclear medicine principles, practices, and procedures.
4. Excellent patient care skills, with a focus on delivering a positive patient experience.
5. Strong technical skills, with proficiency in operating a variety of nuclear medicine equipment.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
8. High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
9. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
10. Ability to comply with all safety and health regulations related to radiation and infection control.
11. Proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
