Sign Language Interpreter in Olathe, KS

A high school student who is proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) requires a professional Sign Language Interpreter to provide 1:1 instructional support during the Extended School Year (ESY) program.

Location: Olathe, KS
Duration: June 8th June 18th (Contract)
Schedule:

• Week 1: Monday Friday
• Week 2: Monday Thursday
• Hours: 8:00 AM 7:00 PM daily

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear and accurate communication between the student and teachers/staff using ASL.
• Relay classroom instruction and discussions to ensure the students full participation.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while supporting the students educational needs.

Qualifications:

• Must be registered with the Kansas Commission on Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational settings.
• Proficiency in ASL and ability to interpret complex academic content.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a one-on-one environment.
