Job Details :

• Work mixed shift schedule : (2) 8-hour shifts 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM and (2) 12-hour shifts 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM
• On-call requirements : Up to 6 weekdays and 2 weekends per six-week schedule
• Weekend requirement : On-call coverage
• Holiday requirement : 1 work holiday and 1 call holiday
• May float to GI unit or Center One Surgery Center
• 1 : 1 patient ratio maintained for all shifts
• 40 hours of orientation required
• 3 years of experience required with Level I Trauma, Liver and Kidney experience
• BSN degree required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
• Required certifications : BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT
• PA or compact license required at time of submission
• Must complete labs within 48 hours of signing
• PA fingerprints required
• Charting system : Cerner
• Skills required include : Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, ALIF, Anterior cervical fusion, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid procedures, Craniotomy, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, General OR, Kyphoplasty, Laminectomy / discectomy, Lumbar fusion, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Scrub Neurology surgery, Scrub Transplant Surgery, Scrub Vascular Surgery, Trauma procedures, XLIF, and circulating
• Work with adult patient population performing all surgical procedures
• 14-room OR with daily census of 30 patients
• Access to interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary

This comprehensive healthcare facility features a 14-room operating suite that handles a full spectrum of surgical procedures including trauma, cardiovascular, neurology, transplant, and vascular surgeries. The facility maintains a busy surgical schedule with 30 daily procedures and provides extensive interdisciplinary support services. As a Level I Trauma center, the facility offers advanced surgical capabilities and specialized liver and kidney transplant services, requiring highly skilled perioperative nursing staff to support complex surgical cases.
