Role Overview : As a Plant Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance on various mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring optimal operation and compliance with PSM and GMP standards. Your role will involve troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment such as pumps, hydraulic systems, pressure vessels, process reactors, and more.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintenance Operations : Perform corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance procedures; troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems; requisition supplies, materials, and tools as required.
  • Technical Skills : Maintain and lubricate pumping systems; understand and apply principles of mechanical integrity; read and interpret blueprints and diagrams; operate and test machines and equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance : Perform pre-job safety analysis; adhere to PSM and GMP standards; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Inspection and Diagnosis : Inspect buildings and equipment using visual observation, gauges, meters, and test devices; diagnose malfunctions and test repaired equipment.
  • Team Collaboration : Work with team members and supervisors to complete tasks; document maintenance processes and results; support related tasks as assigned.
  • Material Handling : Lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs; climb steps up to 500 ft as required.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and stooping for extended periods.
  • Lifting and moving heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Climbing steps up to 500 ft.

    • Other Requirements :

  • Reliable form of transportation.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Consistent daily attendance and positive attitude.

    • Work Conditions :

  • Exposure to heat, humidity, unpleasant fumes, and odors.
  • Exposure to inclement weather conditions.

    • Qualifications :

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of electric motors, generators, pumps, pressure systems, HVAC, and other equipment.
  • Understanding of PSM and GMP standards and mechanical integrity principles.
  • Experience in pump rebuilds and mechanical seal installation and adjustment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year technical school degree is desirable.
  • Five years of experience equivalent to a Maintenance Mechanic, Pump Mechanic, or Refrigeration Mechanic; two years experience as an industrial electrician is desirable.
  • NCCER certification or equivalent certification as Millwright, Maintenance Mechanic, Electrician, or other skilled trade is desirable.
