The Cybersecurity Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security measures across networks, applications, and cloud environments, helping to protect digital assets and data. Accountabilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across network, infrastructure, application, and data layers.
- Perform risk assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Develop and maintain automation tools for threat detection, response, and reporting.
- Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to integrate security into CI / CD pipelines and cloud environments.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, working with SOC and incident response teams.
- Support compliance initiatives and contribute to the creation of security policies, playbooks, and operational procedures.
- Participate in red / blue team exercises, threat modeling, and continuous evaluation of emerging threats.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles.Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.Proficiency in Python or Java for automation, scripting, and tool development.Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap).Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS / IPS, VPNs, and Zero Trust principles.Knowledge of data security principles including encryption, DLP, and access controls.Familiarity with securing web / mobile applications, APIs, microservices, and containerized deployments.Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, GCP).Understanding of SOC workflows, SIEM platforms, and incident response procedures.Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are a plus.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.Benefits
