Position Summary

Responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of the Infrastructure team including; staffing, scheduling, and ensuring employees meet their annual training requirements and goals as well as day-to-day operations, business continuity, problem resolution, and enhancement requests from the business.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and mentor team members to expand proficiency across cloud and automation disciplines, fostering alignment with organizational security standards
• Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft server and client OS, Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, AD, VMware, Tanium, Azure Cloud Services, Meraki, Ubiquiti, VPN, VOIP, WAN, Wireless
• Provide statistics and reporting for Enterprise and Infrastructure team including system availability, patching, service levels, and project completion.
• Oversee infrastructure projects encompassing the entire project life cycle from analysis, research, design, configuration, testing / quality assurance, documentation, deployment, maintenance, and support
• Review Enterprise architecture provided by Infrastructure team and ensure it will support current system readiness service levels, disaster recovery requirements, compliance requirements, and future growth
• Ensure critical operations and data files are backed up and stored off-site.
• Assist in the development of the operating budget for infrastructure related systems and resources
• Ensure documentation is followed and kept up to date including standards, procedures, change management procedures, and compliance documentation including PCI, disaster recovery procedures, etc.
• Oversee periodic audits of related system usage and connections to ensure compliance with company standards and security policies to guard against unauthorized users and to prevent the introduction of any undesirable or destructive software
• Experience integrating Zscaler, Tanium, or similar enterprise security and compliance solutions
• Work in conjunction with set departmental purchasing procedures to procure enterprise equipment and software and establish ongoing support
• Lead team meetings and conduct written and / or verbal presentations to departments and management
• Participate and assist in driving the knowledge management process
• Communicate all user impacted outages, changes, updates, and rollouts utilizing set company communication and departmental standards
• Lead and participate in major projects
• Develop and demonstrate an understanding of customer and business needs
• Develop and update plans for new product / service releases
• Perform other duties and assist other employees, as assigned

Qualifications

Direct supervision and independent decision making. Responsible for the department or functional area either as a manager or functional expert. Initiates and maintains relationships with key staff and other departments. Applies diverse knowledge of technology principles and practices to a broad variety of business functions. Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented complexities. Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations with significant impact on the company. Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters. College / University graduate with 7+ years of hybrid infrastructure, virtualization, or cloud and 3+ years of direct management experience or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified roles.
