Role Summary
As a DSP, youll provide direct daily living support, skill development, and community integration for participants. You'll assist in personal care, facilitate recreation, and document progressall within a respect-driven, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care : hygiene, grooming, meals, medication reminders
- Support daily living skills : budgeting, meal prep, housekeeping
- Facilitate community access : appointments and recreational activities
- Encourage social, educational, and emotional growth
- Implement individualized plans and behavior supports
- Observe and document participant progress and any health or behavioral changes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (case managers, therapists, families, supervisors)
- Uphold safety standards and agency protocols
