Job Description

As a valued contributor to our team, you will consult, advise, and represent Fannie Mae’s Multifamily business in service of our mission to provide stability, liquidity, and affordability in the housing ecosystem. You will provide core legal counsel on complex transactions and projects related to multifamily and corporate initiatives, low‑income housing tax credit (LIHTC) investments, asset management, and regulatory concerns.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate high‑level legal and regulatory analyses and partner with management to identify and address potential reputation issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues, internal clients, and outside counsel on negotiation and drafting of contracts and other documents.
• Provide advice to business clients on important legal and business issues, engaging clients to meet business and regulatory goals and achieve transaction and project closure while providing excellent customer service.
• Use sound business and legal judgment to balance risk aligned with business needs and objectives.
• Supervise and direct outside counsel.
• Collaborate with management and outside counsel on issues of significance for the company.

Education : Bachelor’s Level Degree (Required).

Target Salary Range : $196,000 – $264,000 per year.
