Work Location : Remote – must be located in the Houston, TX area
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM CT
Position Purpose
Work collaboratively with pharmacists to accurately prepare, verify, and process prescription orders in a timely and compliant manner. The Pharmacy Technician supports dispensing, data entry, and communication functions for specialty or chronic disease medication management under pharmacist supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, count, label, and package medications for pharmacist review and approval.
- Conduct 90% outbound / 10% inbound calls to prescribers’ offices for order verification, refills, and clarification.
- Enter prescription and patient data accurately into the system.
- Maintain and update inventory recap reports; manage purchasing and returns of expired / discontinued drugs.
- Document and maintain pharmacy logs, calibration records, and temperature logs per policy.
- Ensure compliance with state / federal laws, accreditation, and quality standards.
- Participate in “ Project Ascend ” and other departmental initiatives as assigned.

Must-Haves :
Minimum 2–3 years of consistent pharmacy technician experience (specialty, hospital, or mail order strongly preferred).Experience in high-volume call environments (≈80 calls per day).Strong data entry accuracy and speed.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Ability to multitask effectively in a remote environment.Nice-to-Haves :
Prior experience with specialty or chronic care pharmacy workflows.Familiarity with electronic prescription systems and inventory management.Disqualifiers :
