Electrician Position
American Residential Services is the largest provider of residential services in the US, employing more than 7000 professionals across the country. ARS has been serving its customers with HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical solutions for over 45 years since its establishment in 1975.
We are seeking skilled electricians who can troubleshoot and repair the electrical component of residential heating and cooling systems, as well as perform general residential electrical upgrades and repairs.
Responsibilities include locating and diagnosing electrical system problems using test equipment, installing, inspecting, repairing, wiring, and maintaining a variety of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring that materials used and workmanship meet the requirements of applicable technical and safety standards, interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine electrical requirements for construction, providing cost estimates for residential and some commercial electrical services, and ensuring that all electrical installations are accurate, serviceable, and meet code parameters.
Technicians can expect year-round full-time work, the opportunity to earn more than $100k per year for high performers, paid orientation, paid training, and weekly direct deposit payroll. There is no on-call or overnight work, and flexible shift schedules are available at most locations. Technicians will also receive a fully stocked take home company vehicle and gas card, a professional uniform and cleaning service, and comprehensive training opportunities provided by the in-house Learning & Development team.

Qualifications include at least one year of residential wiring experience, knowledge of local electrical codes, a proven work ethic with excellent customer service and communication skills, willingness to go into attics and crawl spaces to complete tasks, willingness to put in long, sporadic hours and / or weekends when necessary, and all candidates are required to undergo pre-employment drug screen, background checks, and must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Sign-on bonuses may be available, amounts depending on experience and will be paid out according to an offer letter addendum.
