Permit Coordinator Supervisor
Supervises a team of permit coordinators while also providing administrative support with permitting requirements for electric power construction projects.
Principal Accountabilities :
Apply for permits with necessary state, county, city, and local agencies.
Coordinate with project management staff to ensure all permits are issued in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other relevant parties throughout the permitting process.
Communicating with clients about the status of permitting applications and responding to questions about the permitting process.
Draft TCP requests.
Ensuring that all permits are issued in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
Coordinating with other departments within an organization to ensure that all permits are issued in a timely manner.
Maintain organized permitting process, including reviewing completeness, following permit conditions, and communicating upon receiving issued permits.
Communicate with crew leaders on a continuous basis for submission of proper project paperwork.
Keep track of all payment recipients for permits.
Back up for other administrative duties assigned by manager.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements :
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required :
Minimum of 6 years of related or progressive experience in permitting experience in the state of Colorado.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
ROW / utility permitting experience is preferred.
Clear working knowledge to know when a permit is required for construction projects.
Work requires proficiency in the use of word processing software, spreadsheets, and email.
High attention to detail and organizational skills required.
Demonstrated experience in working within administrative policies, procedures, and operations.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Description of physical working environment :
Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to field locations or corporate meetings.
May require lifting of supply boxes or materials up to 30 lbs.
