Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available for the school year, with potential to extend into summer or the following academic term. This role supports K12 students in an onsite school setting located in Dorchester, SC. Assignments will vary based on your experience and availability, offering a dynamic and rewarding environment to impact students educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
  • Deliver specialized instruction and support students across various grade levels (K12)
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting educational strategies as needed
  • Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere encouraging social, emotional, and academic growth

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

  • Valid special education teaching certification
  • Experience working with K12 students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families
  • Flexibility and adaptability in managing varied assignments across grade levels

    • Location & Schedule :

  • Onsite position in Dorchester, South Carolina
  • Full-time schedule, approximately 37.5 hours per week
