Surgical Technician

Position Summary

Full-time days, 4 / 10s 6 : 30a-5pm, including Holidays and On-Call

This role involves a range of technical responsibilities focused on ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment while maintaining a sterile environment during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to operating room turnover while adhering to departmental standards as part of the procedural team.
• Engage in various surgical cases by assisting the surgical team :

1. Prepare and organize the operating room and sterile areas, following established protocols and physician requirements.

2. Handle and maintain instruments to prevent damage.

3. Assess the specific needs of patients, procedures, and surgeons to prepare equipment and supplies.

4. Communicate with the surgical team to ensure comprehensive preparedness.

5. Seek assistance for procedures based on expertise level.

6. Properly handle and label specimens.

7. Propose updates and assist in maintaining physician preference cards.
