Associate Municipal Research Analyst
The Associate Municipal Research Analyst will be responsible for comprehensive credit analysis in all sectors of the investment grade municipal market.
Responsibilities :
- Review primary and secondary market offerings to determine credit quality with accompanying detailed written and spreadsheet analysis.
- Perform ongoing surveillance on current holdings.
- Monitor credit and sector trends for existing holdings.
- Clear oral and written presentation skills.
- Discuss credit risk and attributes with portfolio managers.
- Work with traders to optimize execution of trades.
- Participate in team special projects and contribute to enhancements of the research process and database.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and other periodic reports in support of research team meetings and functions.
- Write and execute queries from the research database.
Qualifications :
1 - 4 years municipal bond credit analysisBachelor's degree requiredCFA or progress towards CFA preferredExperience with broad array of sectors preferredExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, and CreditScopeAbility to multi-task and meet deadlinesStrong communication skillsCapable of working in self-directed manner as well as a team playerThis role is based in our Boston office on a hybrid schedule - 4 days per week in-office, 1 day per week remote.
