Software Engineer (Device Software)

Highly regarded corporation in the greater Knoxville area is growing! They will be adding a Software Engineer to their R&D group to design control firmware and embedded systems . Prefer candidates with experience in C firmware for embedded systems. Will work with instrument technology and firmware for machinery control.

This company produces highly-sophisticated equipment involving electromechanical control systems. Software Engineers work very closely with the R&D team so excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required. This is a complex product involving controllers and data generators . The Software Engineer will work with legacy products as well as new product design. Must have experience developing software for devices. Excellent work environment for a creative Software Engineer who likes to solve problems and "bring a product to life". Will work as part of an Engineering team. Position requires a technical BS degree (Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred) along with 5 years experience. Knowledge of C# (.Net) for Windows as well as Linux and web / cloud technologies is a plus Relocation assistance will be provided. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
