Role Summary :

The role of Application Engineering will be to work closely with Sales, and Cooper’s Internal and External Customers to ensure that customer’s requirements are met. In this role you will work systematically to make informed decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

The Application Engineer III and IV role is based out of Cooper Machinery’s Port Northwest Office in Houston, TX. The Application Engineering role is responsible for the technical accuracy and quality of mechanical drawings, BOMs, and delivery of all the client’s engineering needs. As an Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in engineering development, maintaining schedules, quality, client specifications, design drafting packages, and new approaches to streamline deliverables, as well as editing and reviewing various high-level content. You will also be responsible for supporting other internal clients, including Project Managers, Product Managers, Sales, and Marketing on various needs specific to gas compression projects.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate customers’ natural gas and diesel engines and provide engineered solutions to upgrade from Cooper’s portfolio.
• Adapt the technology package to customer, site, and unit-specific requirements.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers during project execution and willingness to support cross-functional teams.
• Must possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Must possess a strong desire to learn, investigate, and provide technical solutions to upgrade engine equipment for emissions improvement.
• Must have the ability to lead assigned projects as an Application Engineer for engine and compressor overhauls and upgrades.
• Must be humble, willing to accept responsibility, and work to find solutions to complex technical issues.
