Job descriptionJob Summary:
A wound care nurse specializes in assessing, treating, and managing patients with acute and chronic wounds, playing a critical role in promoting healing and preventing complications
Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate patient wounds to determine the appropriate course of treatment
• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans
• Clean and dress wounds, ensuring sterile techniques are followed
• Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment plans as necessary
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
• Perform debridement and other wound care procedures as required
• Stay updated with the latest wound care research, techniques, and products
• Manage wound care supplies and ensure their availability
• Educate patients and families on wound care, prevention, and self-management.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to monitor healing and make necessary adjustments to care plans
• Adhere to all healthcare regulations and safety standards
Education and experience required:
• Current Licensed Nurse in the State of GA
• Good standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing
• CPR certification
• Previous experience in wound care or a related field is often preferred, along with completion of specialized training programs.
• 2 years of more experience of as Wound Care Nurse
Schedule: 7am-7pm OR 7pm-7am
Pay: $29.00-$32.00 an hour
